Logo design for local, Houston-based restaurant Otto's Barbecue. Design development began by working closely with the client for a period of 11 weeks, beginning with process sketches then fleshing out elements that would reflect Otto's history, background and demographic of customers. Since 1951 Otto's has been in business and has been a local staple of Houston with emphasis on serving the Houston community. The logo is intended to be welcoming and convey the feeling of familiarity and "at home", reaching people from all walks of life which makes up the majority of Otto's customers.
