Type Anatomy
A set of 9 cards with the box, illustrating the important characteristics and specific components of letterforms. Like medical professionals studying the human anatomy, characteristics and attributes of letters enable designers to have a deeper understanding of typography and how to execute type treatments that are effective and successful. The Type Anatomy deck was intended to be used as an educational tool and a fun way to explore type. The type families used to create this deck include Transitional, Modern, Serif, and Script versions. The attributes for each letter are labeled similar to a scientific illustration, with definitions included on the back. Materials: 6"x6", digitally printed on 110lb cardstock, chipboard, hand-cut, hand-corner-rounded, adhesive glue Software: Illustrator, InDesign.
